Case Study: How to Resolve Overseas Recruitment Challenges

Recruiting talents overseas has always been a challenge for enterprises in China with an international vision. Today, the challenge is more serious than ever before.

Below, Tracy Zeng, Comrise China’s Industrial Team Lead, spotlights a time when Comrise helped a client win. 

 

Background:

One of the world’s top 500 manufacturing enterprises has cooperated with Comrise for more than 10 years now. Due to the company’s strategic development, it needs to build factories overseas. As a result, the company made mergers and acquisitions overseas and urgently needed a local factory General Manager.

Although the enterprise interviewed more than 20 candidates through various channels, there was  still no suitable candidate for the role. 

 

Client Requirement:

In this case, Comrise received the client’s entrustment and hopes to find the most suitable talents quickly and efficiently.

 

Solution Delivery:

The project team was quickly established and consisted of Senior Consultants with more than 8 years of experience in the field. As such, they were able to deeply understand the client’s needs and expectations. Consistent communication  was maintained throughout the entire process. 

Notably, in this case, it’s critical to conduct thorough local market research, while also mastering the latest market trends. For example, a similar local enterprise could be laying off employees, and that enterprise may have the talent that the client is looking for.

Accomplishment:

Within half a month, all local candidates who met the client’s requirements were obtained. After careful screening and close communication, three candidates were recommended to the client. There was an Operating President of two Plant General Managers and one group in charge of three Plant General Managers.

After several rounds of interviews, the client recognized the Operation President Candidate and started the salary negotiation process. After about a month of negotiation, the candidate successfully joined the client enterprise.
