What Do Clients Expect From Your Recruitment Firm?

According to an anonymous survey, which consisted of 687 participants, 49.6% emphasized the critical importance of clear communication with delivery managers. Participants either partnered with a recruitment firm at their company or were looking to do so in the future. And 49.6% emphasized the critical importance of clear communication with delivery managers. 

In this survey, conducted in June 2021, we sought to determine what factors were most important to companies that partner with recruitment firms in regards to streamlining their hiring process.

Key Findings: 

  • 49.6% of clients emphasized the critical importance of clear communication with delivery managers
  • 55.6% of clients expect excellent communication throughout the entire interview process 
  • 58.2% of clients value a clear understanding of the candidate’s feedback from the recruiter debrief

 

As a client or prospective client, what is most important when hiring a recruiting firm? 

When we asked clients what they expect when they are in the process of hiring a recruiting firm, 49.6% emphasized the critical importance of clear communication with delivery managers, 41% said a clear understanding of the industry and the vertical, and 9.3% said a simple candidate submission and hiring process.

 

What do clients value most during the interview process? 

When we asked clients what they value most during the interview process, 55.6% said excellent communication throughout the entire interview process, 31.1% said efficiency and reducing the timeline to hire, and 13.2% said a clear understanding of the candidate’s qualifications for the role. 

 

What is most important to clients after the interview is complete? 

Once the interview process is complete, 58.2% of clients expect a clear understanding of the candidates feedback from the recruiter debrief, 32.6% believe that clear alignment on compensation based on the original candidate’s submission is paramount, and 9.2% said an overview of the candidate’s competing offers. 

Based on the survey data above,most  clients prefer clear communication when hiring a recruitment firm. Honesty and transparency during the interview process are also factors of building trust with recruitmeny firms.  In addition, pocessing a strong understanding of the client’s industry and company culture were among top responses. Where the type of candidates as well as constant updates on the status of prospective candidates were valued most.
