Emma Wu: I started my journey with Comrise in May 2018. What stood out to me the most was the wonderful company culture and the strong globalization.
Erica DiNapoli: As the China CBSS Team Lead, how do you help your clients find job candidates who are a perfect fit for their company culture?
Emma Wu: I am constantly conducting research so that I can better understand my client’s business, industry, company culture, market situation, hiring needs, etc. This research is paramount and helps me find candidates who are a perfect fit for their job openings and company culture.
Erica DiNapoli: Could you highlight some of the common overseas recruitment struggles faced by enterprises? How does Comrise help overcome these struggles?
Emma Wu: There are many overseas recruitment struggles faced by enterprises. To start, they don’t fully understand the local market situation, culture, and laws. Oftentimes, they also don’t know where to set up office spaces or how to obtain the necessary licenses.

Erica DiNapoli: Why are more people looking to return home to China?
Emma Wu: China’s economy and international influence continues to excel and more career opportunities are opening up, which is why many people are looking to return home. Overall, China is a great place to grow and develop as a professional.
Erica DiNapoli: Which Comrise core value is your favorite and how do you leverage this core value to help your candidates, clients, and colleagues win?
Emma Wu: My favorite Comrise core value is “Be Honest & Ethical”. I treat my candidates, clients, and colleagues as friends. I’m honest, care about their feelings, and put their profit needs as my top priority. I strive to build a strong relationship with each person I work with. It’s important that we trust each other and help each other win.
